This new toddler shoe was inspired by the street vendor stands up and down Fifth Avenue in New York City. It is a reinvention of possibly the decade’s hottest toy trend, the POP-IT! Day after day I watched tourists tame tired and screaming children with cheap thrills and a sensory sensation. Pop-it toys have been available on just about every street corner and high traffic tourist area for the past few years in NYC. I thought that the fun and relief for parents shouldn’t be limited to street corners where you can catch a yellow cab, parents all over the world and their children should have access to pop-its everywhere they go.

This shoe uses an unconventional material for the sandal strap. The biggest challenge was developing the material to be strong/rigid enough for a child to safely walk and soft enough to be a fun toy to play with!

This toy/sandal combo can be found in retail stores (including Marshalls) in Spring 2023!
